Burnt out- Need new fishing hole

Man this is great. This is definatley going to be benificial. So Im all burnt out on my usual fishing hole in the area. Does anyone have any good ideas? I dont have any major resources(boat, lots of money). I might have a kayak if things work out here soon. Overnight is great but so are day trips. Allright, thanks for the help-

I don't know where your usual fishing hole is, but I was below Canyon Dam about 2 weeks ago, and just down the trail there by marker #10, the trout were stacked up big time.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get them to rise to anything. I tried parachute adams, stimulators, some of my own nymph creations, and flash back phesant tail nymphs to no avail. I even tried a wooly bugger.
It was probably still too hot for them, but hopefully you'll have better luck if you go.

Hi Matt,
There's lots of spots around - it all depends upon what you're looking for. We've have an outing on the coast this weekend (Port Aransas) and next weekend have an outing planned for the San Marcos River.
Our monthly meeting is this Tuesday night - stop on by to find out more details about the San Marcos outing and see how well they did down at the coast.

I try to make it to the meetings and typcally do. I make it to some of the tying meetings too. Im making my way to Rockport this weekednd for no reason except fishing. Im not sure where exactly yet though. I dont know the area too well but ill hve fun. thanks for the advice.
