Redfish Rodeo - Port O'Connor - September 22

Tailing RedThe 21st annual Redfish Rodeo will be held in Port O'Connor on September 22, 2007. This is an open to the public, fly-fishing only event with primary goals of promoting catch and release and to generate a donation to the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA).

Fishing for the tournament begins at first light and ends at 5:00 PM. Headquarters (HQ) will be in the private cantina at Josie’s Restaurant in Port O’Connor, TX. This is a 2-person team fishing event with prizes for longest redfish, longest speckled trout and slam. This is a great event and an even better excuse to get out and enjoy the wonderful flats fishing that this time of year provides!

Cost for the event is $40 per person with advance registration (and mailed in payment) or $50 at the door Saturday night.

Following the tournament, a catered dinner will be served promptly at 7 PM Saturday followed by an extremely light hearted, fun filled night of awards, skits, contests, raffles and storytelling, The Redfish Rodeo finale is the "everybody wins something" door prize drawing at 9 PM.
